MRS. BARBARA MCDOWELL
FIRST GRADE TEACHER

 

 
Mrs. McDowell has been teaching at Seacrest Christian School since 1998.  She has taught since 1967.  Mrs. McDowell graduated with a B.S. from Clarion University, in Clarion, PA. 

Mrs. McDowell teaches reading, math, spelling, and Bible to her first-grade students, as well as social studies, science, and writing.
 

Her goal for her class is to "learn to read and enjoy God's wonderful world."  Her motto is Proverbs 1:7a, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

She was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and met her husband in college.  After they were married, she and her husband came to faith in Christ.  They had two sons before going to the mission field.  Upon returning from Indonesia, they settled in Pennsylvania.  Their children graduated from college and moved to Florida.  They followed them and love it.  She and her husband have a granddaughter.
